Bio: Work Experience
Prior to working more than 20 years for the NH Electric Cooperative I taught environmental education. Prior to that I proudly served for eight years in the US Naval Submarine Service. During my employment with the Cooperative I represented the membership in various capacities; cost accounting, obtaining right of ways, economic development, working with the Public Utilities Commission, working with both State and Federal legislators and siting wind generators were among my many accomplishments.

Having been honored by the membership to elect me again I am serving my 7th year on the Board of Director. I was doubly honored by my fellow Directors by being reelected as Chairman of the Board for the sixth time. As a Director I have been insistent that the all Directors and employees recognize that, unlike Public Service, the Cooperative has "members" not customers. Yes you purchase your energy from the Co-op but, unlike other utilities, you also have a say in its operations. You elect your Directors to represent you no matter what part of the State you live in. I will work hard to keep rates down at the same time recognizing that we have to maintain our system safety and reliability. With the increased awareness of the environment I will strive to put your Co-op in front of the alternative energy curve. "Greening" up our power supply contracts, membership energy conservation education, fewer outages - and better response to those outages, absorbing new technologies, while at the same time putting your Co-op back on its feet growing equity are some of my goals for these next few years.

Bio: Work Experience
Chuck is a REALTOR® at Roche Realty Group in Meredith, where his practice specializes in conservation and preservation in the Lakes & Mountains Region, as well as commercial and residential properties. Before his real estate career, Chuck was president of Energy Technology Assurance Group, Inc. (EN-TAG), an e-financial services firm serving distributed generation projects; northeast region vice president for Duke Energy’s energy services affiliate; and chief marketing/sales officer for a $600m energy delivery unit of Niagara Mohawk. Chuck also was as senior executive in emerging medical device and other high-tech businesses. He began his career in plastics and oilfield development with Shell Oil Company. A Viet Nam era veteran, Chuck was directly commissioned in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps and honorably discharged as Captain.
Education
Chuck earned over 60% of the cost of his college education and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BSEng with honors from Princeton University.
Chuck is a Credentialed Cooperative Director.
Community Service
Chuck has a strong commitment to the natural environment and is a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club, the Society for the Protection of NH Forests, and the NH Preservation Alliance and the White Mountain Gateway Economic Development Corporation.

Bio: Work Experience
David is a professor at Plymouth State University, where he teaches courses in Finance and Economics at both graduate and undergraduate levels. David is a former Treasurer and CFO at Loon Mountain Recreation Corporation, Booth Creek Ski Holdings, Inc., and The Stratton Corporation. He is a former Treasurer and CFO of Tech Resources, Inc. and the former President of Granite Bank. He has also served as the former Vice President of The Central Savings Bank.
Education
David earned his MBA from Plymouth State College, his CGS from the National School of Finance (Brown University), and his BSBA from the University of Denver.
David is a Credentialed Cooperative Director.
Community Service
David serves as President of the Board of Trustees of North Country Center for the Arts and as Director of Speare Memorial Hospital.

Work Experience
Sharon has 35+ years of varied business experience with service on non-profit Boards of Directors. Since October 2008, she is owner and operator of The Country Lady Bug Greenhouse in Campton, NH. From August 2007 to August 2008, Sharon served as the Associate Executive Director for Pemi-Baker Home Health & Hospice. From October 1999 to August 2007, served as the VP-Regulatory Corporate Compliance Officer for Northway Bank. From January 1989 to October 1999 served as the Regulatory Compliance Officer for Pemigewasset National Bank. From September 1968 to January 1989, Sharon worked at a well-known law firm in Plymouth, NH.
Education
Sharon is a graduate of Plymouth High School and Champlain College in Burlington, VT. She has also graduated from UNH Continuing Education in Paralegal Studies; ABA Compliance School; New England School of Banking; Leadership New Hampshire program; and ICBA Compliance School earning Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer designation.
Sharon is a Credentialed Cooperative Director.
In addition to being a member of NHEC’s Board of Directors since June 2003, Sharon is the Chair of the Campton Board of Selectmen; Treasurer of Pemi-Baker Regional School District and Treasurer of Campton School District.

Bio: Work Experience
Joan’s work experience includes 25 years at Northeast Utilities, the largest utility in New England. After starting in power plant safety analysis, she moved into the emerging competitive electric energy markets in New England and the Northeast region. Joan held management positions in; strategic planning, electric power pricing, electric power portfolio management and sales of electric power to wholesale and retail customers. Prior to working at Northeast Utilities, Joan worked for Combustion Engineering, Westinghouse Inc. and at Argonne National Laboratory.
Education
Joan earned her MBA in Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a BS in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Community Service
Joan serves as a Supervisor of the Checklist and as vice-chair for the Zoning Board of Adjustment in Jackson. Community activities also include Red Cross, Friends of the Library in Jackson and Habitat for Humanity. An avid hiker, Joan is a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and a lifetime member of the Appalachian Trail Conservatory.

Bio: Work Experience
Joe is a consulting engineer in the field of climate change and sustainability. Before this current area of focus, Joe was the Head of Climate Change for National Grid where he conceived, developed and implemented National Grid’s Climate Change Initiative which included setting of an 80% reduction in National Grid’s greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, embedding greenhouse gas (carbon) budgets in each operating area of the company and linking performance toward these budgets with executive compensation. Prior to being appointed Head of Climate Change, Joe was the Vice President of Environment for National Grid’s US Operations.
Education
Joe earned a BA in Geology from the University of Connecticut and an MS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
Community Service
Joe serves his community in a variety of ways including membership in the Mount Washington Valley Kiwanis Club, member of the Board of Trustees of the Mount Washington Observatory and President of the Franconia Soaring Association.

Bio:
Jerry has served for twelve years as Director of the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative. As a Director, he is the current Vice-Chair, has served as Treasurer for six years, Secretary for one year and has served on all Board Committees. An engineering graduate from Georgia Tech, Jerry has worked as an operating engineer with an electric utility company. He has worked in aircraft design, aviation management, flight safety, as a commercial pilot, and has experience in energy auditing, consulting engineering, building design and construction. A resident of Moultonborough, Jerry has served on several appointed and elected Boards, Trusteeships, and Committees in Moultonborough. He volunteers as a “Bell Ringer” for the Salvation Army and an assistant Softball coach for the Moultonborough Academy girl’s varsity team.

Bio: Georgie is currently Vice President of the Government Banking/Not for Profit Division of Citizens Bank NH. She served nearly 18 years as the New Hampshire State Treasurer where she was responsible for all cash management and investment and debt management for the State of New Hampshire. She is also a member of numerous statutory boards and committees including: Nuclear Decommissioning Finance Committee, College Savings Plan Advisory Committee, NH Retirement System, Business Finance Authority, and NH Municipal Bond Bank. Georgie’s other experience includes: Budget Director, Yankee Publishing, Treasurer, Penntech Papers (now a subsidiary of Weyerhaeuser Industries), and service in the Treasurer’s Department of Exxon Corporation in New York City, developing the four-year financial outlook for world wide operations and financing the TransAlaska Pipeline. A resident of Thornton, Georgie holds a BA from Cornell University, an MBA from Columbia University and Doctor of Laws (honoris causa) from Southern NH University.

Bio: Work Experience
Harry began his career in marketing in Boston as a copywriter. From there he worked with firms in New York, Chicago, San Francisco ultimately settling in Connecticut as a partner in Mason & Madison, a New Haven based advertising agency where he spent 20+ years transforming the company into a marketing, branding and business development consultancy. During his time there Harry built the firm from a small local agency with 12 people into a regional company with 80+ people and $50MM in sales, serving companies such as GM, Black & Decker, Saab, Beretta USA, Verizon Wireless and SAS Airlines. In 2004 he retired and currently provides marketing and business development consulting services on a part-time basis
Education
As an undergraduate student Harry worked in the restaurant business in Washington DC to help pay for his education. He has a BA from Georgetown and an MBA from UCONN. Harry studied abroad during high school and college living in both Italy and Austria.
Community Service
Passionate about conservation and community service, Harry serves on the Center Harbor Conservation Commission, Energy Committee and Planning Board. He also is a member of the LRCT (Lakes Region Conservation Trust) Lands Committee, working to identify and conserve land and wetlands throughout the Lakes Region.

Bio:
Ken is an independent consultant on climate change, energy, and environmental issues. Most of his work involves helping states, foundations, and progressive companies recognize and secure economic opportunity through action on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and other policies. Ken previously oversaw New Hampshire’s air pollution control programs for nearly a decade at the Department of Environmental Services (DES), and represented the state’s business community on environmental and energy issues for the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire (BIA). Earlier, Ken worked in manufacturing management and taught at Proctor Academy in Andover.
Ken holds a B.S. in mathematics from M.I.T. as well as M.B.A. and M.Ed. degrees from U.N.H. He also serves on the Boards of the Granite State Conservation Voters Alliance and the Jordan Institute, and previously chaired the Andover School Board and the New London Hospital Board. Ken is an Eagle Scout and a New Hampshire native, and has never paid an electric bill to any company other than NHEC. He and his wife Jacquie live in Meredith.
