NHEC Foundation

The NHEC Foundation assisted the Colebrook Downtown Development Association in acquiring the former Colebrook Grange Hall. Future plans are to convert the hall to the North Country Heritage Museum and Performance Center.

The NHEC Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c) 3 foundation that provides grants to charitable organizations, community programs and projects and economic development projects. The Foundation was founded in 2005 by New Hampshire Electric Cooperative and is funded primarily through the voluntary contributions of NHEC members whose monthly bills are rounded up to the next dollar.

The purpose of the NHEC Foundation is to improve the quality of life for members and communities served by New Hampshire Electric Cooperative. The Foundation also funds Project Care, a program that provides support to members in financial need, and the NHEC Chapter of Dollars for Scholars.

The NHEC Foundation is governed by an eleven member volunteer Board of Directors consisting of NHEC representatives and community leaders from various regions served by NHEC.

Individuals and organizations wishing to make a tax deductible contribution to the Foundation, can do so by mailing it to NH Electric Co-op Foundation, 579 Tenney Mtn. Highway, Plymouth, NH 03264.
