Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification and hydraulic certification preferred. Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years previous dealership or fleet maintenance experience as a Mechanic I or equivalent education or certification required. Job Knowledge: Must possess a knowledge of garage operations and vehicle maintenance; trouble shooting, tune‐ups (using diagnostic equipment), ABS air/hydraulic brake systems, welding, hydraulic systems and perform repairs off‐site. Must possess and maintain a valid NH CDL Class A driver’s license. Abilities: Must be able to inspect, maintain and rebuild all types of motor vehicles and associated equipment without direct supervision. Must have a state certification for inspections or the ability to obtain one within six months. Working Conditions: Will be required when necessary to work any NHEC established or designated shift, perform duties in the operating districts, work in inclement weather or emergencies repairing or recovering disabled vehicles. Must supply own tools up through 1 1/2″ (including metric sizes). Position requires lifting and carrying heavy objects. Occasional training may require overnight stays. Assistance with power restoration efforts is required of all employees. Depending on the severity and duration of power outages, employees may be required to assume duties and work hours that are outside of their normal working conditions. Such assistance may require working nights, weekends and holidays and may involve considerable extra hours.
