Colebrook Mobile Food Pantry Feb. 25

COLEBROOK, NH – New Hampshire Electric Cooperative (NHEC) and the New Hampshire Food Bank will partner to distribute food to New Hampshire residents in need in the greater Colebrook area via a mobile food pantry on Saturday, February 25^th at noon at the Colebrook Elementary School.

For the sixth year in a row, the NHEC Foundation has provided a $5,000 grant to fund the Colebrook mobile food pantry.  Volunteers from both sponsoring organizations will be on site to help unload and distribute the food to those in need at the school, which is located at 27 Dumont Street in Colebrook.

The mobile food pantry plans to provide approximately 15,000 pounds of food, the equivalent of about 12,500 meals, to New Hampshire residents in Colebrook and surrounding towns on February 25^th. NH Food Bank, a program of Catholic Charities NH, is the only food bank in the state and is the main source of food for dozens of food pantries across the state.
