Rob Howland

Director of Power Resources & Access
Biography:

Rob Howland is NHEC’s Director of Power Resources and Access. In this role he is responsible for procuring wholesale electricity supply and related transmission service to meet our Member’s needs. He also is responsible for administering NHEC’s compliance with New Hampshire’s Renewable Portfolio Standard which requires up to 25% of power supply be served from renewable energy.  He joined NHEC in 2014 as a Power Resources Executive and has an extensive background in the electric utility industry, with career activities as a Regulatory Commission staffer, in management for publicly owned and investor-owned utilities and as an executive consultant. He is the former Chair of his local School Board where he served for 20 years and he performed for 10 years as Trustee of Public Funds for his hometown of Pittsford, Vermont. Rob received his BS in Resource Economics from the University of Vermont, an MBA from Plymouth State University and studied Energy Planning at the University of Oslo, Norway.
