Upgrade. Improve. Save.
When it comes to improving the energy efficiency of your business, there are many ways to begin. With retrofitting, your existing inefficient equipment gets an upgrade to improve the energy performance of your facilities. The goal is to improve the overall performance of your commercial building and decrease energy demand.
Lighting and Lighting Controls
Today’s lighting technology makes it possible to increase energy efficiency by taking advantage of the most advanced light sources, fixtures and controls while maintaining and increasing lighting quality. With good design, an energy-efficient lighting system typically pays for itself within a few years. Incentives are available for up to 50% of the installed costs for both interior and exterior measures.
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
A Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) is a type of motor controller that drives an electric motor and reduces electrical use and maintenance costs. VFDs significantly reduce the energy consumed by fans, centrifugal pumps and other motor machinery operated under varying loads.
This program offers incentives for replacing existing operating motors with new, higher efficiency motors. Incentives are available for premium efficiency induction motors of the same size (or smaller) horsepower and Electronically Commutated (EC) Motors.
Compressed air systems are vital to most commercial and industrial operations. Unfortunately, they can also be one of the least efficient. Incentives are available.
Custom Incentives are available for approved and qualified projects not covered by prescriptive incentives. A detailed engineering analysis that quantifies energy savings must be included in the required vendor proposal.
