Michael Licata joined NHEC in 2019 and serves as the Vice President of Member Services and Public Affairs. In this role Michael manages NHEC’s external relationships and oversees the Member Solutions, Marketing and Communications departments. Michael joined NHEC from Liberty Utilities, where he was the Director of Government Relations for the company’s east region. In that role he managed Liberty’s government and community outreach in several states, including New Hampshire. Before working at Liberty Utilities he was the Vice President of Public Policy at the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire, where he represented the Association before the state legislature.
Prior to his tenure at the Business and Industry Association and Liberty Utilities, Michael was the Federal Government Affairs Associate for Northeast Utilities, where he served as treasurer of the employees’ political action committee.
From 2002 to 2006 Michael was the Senior Legislative Assistant for Congressman Jeb Bradley in Washington D.C. He covered several issues for the Congressman, including energy, telecommunications, transportation and taxation. He also served as the Congressman’s staffer to the House Budget and Small Business Committees.
Michael was born and raised in New Hampshire and currently resides in Hopkinton with his wife and two children.
